Sedge Warbler 3
Yes, sorry, another one. But when you get given such a gift you can't say no!
This was taken on the river bank in the reserve this morning. He just popped up infront of me, sang his little song and disappeared again. But they were all around, you could hear the chattering in the reeds and occasional bursts of activity as they checked up on their triangle of territory (why a traingle? I have no idea, but that's just how they seem to keep watch).
After getting this shot I walked on into town, stood in the queue at the chemist and got nearly all my meds, 'but could you come back for the rest next Thursday?' gggrrowl!!
Then it was walking Hazel along the Nuns' Stream, hanging out the washing, bringing in the grocery delivery and a general collapse. Not too bad a way to spend an early summer's day. Yes, definitely summer, the dog roses are flowering - yipee!
Have a happy evening, all xx
