The Sun has Got its Hat on
Finally the sun is out here at 3pm and how wonderful do the trees look against the blue sky as they bask in the sunshine- all shades of green from a lime colour to very dark green.
It was not like this in the morning. It was dull, misty and cold when I found myself at the water’s edge. I was early and the tide was high. The water felt colder than 2 days ago but was probably because I felt colder. The pesky NNE wind seems to have become established here and does not augur well for heat.
I am sitting on the patio listening to birds chirruping in the bushes nearby. They are in direct competition with the noise of a huge drill which Scottish Water is using at the other side of the Meadows to construct an underground reservoir to combat local flooding- at least that’s what I think they are doing but I haven’t read the notice on the hoarding properly. The noise is unremitting. I sympathise with the people living in the flats beside the work.
