Colonne Morris
This is one of around 500 "colonnes Morris" scattered around Paris. They are so named because they were initially managed by the Morris company shortly after they first appeared in 1868. Since 1986 they are owned by JCDecaux. They are almost exclusively used to advertise theatre and cultural events - this is another way of subsidizing and promoting culture in Paris, and I think it's great.
This one is near the Javel metro, spotted today on my way to the K-Mart in the afternoon. It was another gorgeous day! J went for a 65-km bike ride in the Bois. I had a productive time checking proofs.
