Kitchen window

The kitchen window sill of Locnellan one of the abandoned crofts on Dava Moor. Items left above the sink include a tin of National Dried Milk. This was a milk formula introduced during World War 2 to help mothers feed their babies adequately. The milk continued to be available until it was withdrawn in 1976 by which time sales had declined dramatically. Sadly Lochnellan has been vandalised over recent months. Despite the sorry state of the house the mint in the garden still flourishes and scents the air as it is trodden on. Graffiti on the stair case mentions a rail strike and the Poll Tax from the era of Margaret Thatcher. (Extra)
