A new plant

In the winter I lost several plants - my passionflowers, salvias and Mexican fleabane. I didn’t think it was that cold this winter, but the Bristol weather records say there was a high number  of frosty days.
My friend in Penzance gave me a new fleabane, and I’ve planted it up and put it in the sunniest spot.  I guess I’ll need to buy some protective covering for next winter. 
A busy but good afternoon at the Oxfam shop - apparently we are on a shortlist of six (out of 600 shops) for shop of the year. It’s a nice feeling for everyone - but I’m especially pleased for the manager. She looks a lot like Amy Winehouse and has tattoos everywhere but her face, and she is one of the sweetest, kindest souls I’ve ever met.
