Lilac time

The lilac tree in the front garden is a joy - beautiful flowers and heavenly scent. I say 'the' front garden as there's so much foliage underneath it that it's impossible to tell whether the trunk is in our garden or next door's!

The new futon bed arrived this morning, and it took a while to assemble the base, though it was simple enough. Looking forward to trying it out tonight.

Yet another trip to the tip this afternoon, with the old bed and mattress, both so ancient that they were no longer fit for use. Then on to Chris and Mike's to pick up the last few plants that stayed there while we moved. Just need to work out where to plant them in the new garden.
