The Last Peony

This morning, the last peony in the vase was dropping petals on the cloth. These were my yellow peonies which I purchased last Saturday. Every day, they get a little lighter and the final colour is a pretty cream.

There will be more peonies in my vase for the weekend - I wonder what colour will feel like coming home with me?
