Pain clinic

My blip is of a photo I took of an MRI image of my lower back at the pain clinic today . After 2 discectomy / laminectomy surgeries during lockdown I still live with pain , much worse when I sit. Functionally I can walk well now and work part-time .
I still have 2 large herniated discs , the disc at L4-5 is virtually disappeared now . I also have arthritis in the lumbar vertebrae and the facet joints. The consultant offered me an injection into my root nerves , which will be done in theatre in sterile conditions. I do feel sad that my back is in such a bad way . I have lost 5 kgs of weight this year , so need to get back to more weight loss - another 6-7 kgs and I will be a healthy weight for my size.
