Seeking sustenance from red hot poker flowers
We had to go to Warkworth this morning for a meeting at the bank. All was sorted which is good. We then went out to Snells Beach to have lunch with S' brother and wife from Melbourne. It was a very pleasant lunch and a friend from Mangawhai had also been invited. Lovely to meet with everyone.
We were entertained before during and after lunch by the Tui, of which at least six were present in the big trees. I was able to get a photo of one when it was not obscured by leaves and branches.
Before lunch my attention had been caught by the movement of a small bird. I was able to take today's blip through a window. The little silvereye (Tauhou) was still after having darted all around the red hot pokers (Kniphofia), for just long enough to be the subject of today's blip
