Emergency garden blip

A challenging day. J was awake several times in the night (including sorting himself some breakfast at 3:30am). At 7 he was adamant that he was getting the bus into Manchester, despite my reminders of an appointment with the community psychiatric nurse. His brother dashed over to support, and then I got a message from the CPN saying that she was unwell and so was cancelling. So I spent most of the day chasing the team to get one of the duty team to come out and review him. Shows how threadbare the system is when the advice was if he leaves the house and you’re worried that he’s not safe then call the police!

They’ve scheduled some extra monitoring visits each day over the long weekend, and a blood test on Tuesday. He’s been refusing to take his medication for the past couple of months, so it all feels like it’s the inevitable consequence of that.
