Campion

There was a derelict area down the side of the house. We dug it over and threw lots of seeds onto the ground. It’s now full of growth. This campion was loving the sunshine.

At lunchtime I sat in the garden listening to the birds sing. A friend had recommended the Merlin app. It’s amazing what it hears. Today it was a blackbird, ronin, dunnock, blue tit, great tit and a goldfinch.

HtP and I had intended to go for a drink and have dinner at the local pub. However everyone else had had the same thought and there weren’t any spare tables. We had a drink at another pub and then had a pizza back at the house. A good start to the weekend.
