NOW WE KNOW WHAT MRS. HCB DOES IN HER QUIET ROOM!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

Every morning, Mrs. HCB has the same routine:

1. She gets up
2. She has a shower
3. She goes downstairs
4. She makes a cup of coffee
5. Sometimes she says “Good Morning” to Mr. HCB
6. She walks back upstairs
7. She goes into her Quiet Room

What she does after this, we weren’t sure, so today we followed her up - and saw that she:

1. Read the Bible passage for the day
2. Read the Prayer for the day and looks up verses in her Bible
3. Sometimes she reads another book
4. In between doing all this, she drinks her coffee!
5. Then she closes her eyes and has a little sleep

Well, how silly is that - sleeping not long after you have just got up?  However, we think that Admirer would understand what Mrs. HCB is doing and when we asked her about that she said she wasn’t sleeping, but she was praying - so we asked her why she closed her eyes to pray and she said that it was so she didn’t get distracted by everything around her.  We might just try doing that with her one day.  She says it takes about an hour and then she feels “set up” for the day - well it’s certainly worth a try, we think!  

She also works on her laptop sometimes and especially just before she is preparing to lead a service at the Church she goes to, which she is doing tomorrow.  This is definitely her room, because on a big board, she has all the beautiful cards that people have sent to her especially during the lockdowns.  She also has pretty lights all round the ceiling - not something that would appeal to Mr. HCB but we know Mrs. HCB loves it and we rather like it too.  

She told us that she also goes up into her Quiet Room if she feels a bit flustered or upset and finds that if she plays some lovely music, it helps her to unwind.  She does have some good ideas and we might try that too when we get cross and irritated with one another - we’re sure she wouldn’t mind sharing her little room with us.
