Ban Holiday Saturday. Fabulous weather. Glorious gardens and woodland walks.
There is nothing better than an English burgeoning late Spring on a day like today.Bird song everywhere, an overarching cerulean blue sky from the beginning. Not a cloud in sight.
Cascading wisteria, lupins, alliums, roses, poppies, walled gardens, an orchard, a historical Tudor stately home…..as you can see I so enjoyed absolutely everything about it.
One of my favourite quotes is from a poem by Edward Thomas, called “The Glory”
….”I cannot bite the day to the core”…
More photos in extras and two videos I put on YouTube of the walk in the woodland and by the river.
The birdsong was so beautiful.
