C’est une urgence
It’s been a long day in the car, and as soon as we got home Cathy departed into the garden to try to rescue her various plants. It actually all looks pretty good to me, but I am assured that the warm weather whilst we were away means that urgent measures are required.
The departure from Arras was easy and the French A roads presented no problems. The shuttle through the tunnel was similarly easy. But once we hit the UK the problems on the roads just went on multiplying. So much so that the 3.5 hour UK leg of the journey took twice that.
Still we were entertained along the way by a long series of calls with my bank’s fraud prevention team. It would seem that persons unknown have today been trying to buy all sorts with my credit card. In the process I also discovered that our hotel in Arras appears to have charged us twice, so that’s another little job for tomorrow.
It’s good to be home - but I must admit I enjoyed our time in Provence so much that I didn’t really want to come back :-)
