West Mill, Bridport.

It's been another lovely day, our last full day here in Dorset. We went off to Bridport for a walk around the Flea Market and a look around the town. This water powered corn mill was built in 1878 on the site of a corn and balling mill. A Hick, Hargreaves water turbine was installed in 1886. It is now converted to holiday cottages.

Later we walked up to the site of the now long gone Chideock Castle. The large cross there commemorates the Chideock Martyrs, eight Catholics who were gruesomely put to death in Dorchester.

It's the start of a Bank Holiday Weekend and the roads are very busy.
