First yellow flag in the pond

I forgot to post a blip yesterday so I’m catching up. Went down to the allotment fairly early to water and ended up doing lots of weeding too.
Also I’m listening to a fantastic podcast called Empire with journalist Anita Anand and historian William Dalrymple - the ones I’ve listened to cover the British Empire in India - and in later episodes I think they cover  other empires - Roman, Ottoman etc. finding it fascinating, as none of this stuff was taught when I was at school, and it still isn’t! I wonder why. Not.
