Mountain Cornflower

It's been pouring with rain all day which was not just miserable but unfortunate as we had to go to the (outdoor) recycle centre to take all the things that we'd sorted for chucking out over the weekend. Around teatime it stopped briefly so I popped out into the garden with my camera and snapped this very striking Mountain Cornflower (Centaurea Montana) which didn't seem at all phased by the weather.
