Snapshots of my world

The Ducks of Addingham.

Three ducks first made an appearance in Addingham in 2014 to celebrate the Tour de France going through the village. At that point they were each wearing one of the winning jerseys; green, polkadot and yellow.

The ducks have had a make over recently to become coronation ducks for the King's Coronation. The design has each duck wearing a crown and they are arranged in a line to represent the King and his two heirs. Cleverly done!

I spotted them on a lovely walk from Addingham to Ilkley where I enjoyed a stroll around the little shops. :-)

I've just watched Mark Cavendish win the final stage of this year's Giro d'Italia, a fantastic thing to see as he comes to the end of his career. A bit of a fairytale and quite often the fairytales Cav seeks don't work out!!
