Blackbird Michelin star!

We have this little strip of garden between the patio and the higher lawn. I always plant it with bedding plants (the only place I use them). We planted it yesterday , swept the patio but the female blackbird who clearly has a hungry brood keeps rummaging for grubs and messing it all up again!

I would rather have a Michelin starred restaurant for birds than a pristine garden.
