Sunday...

A chilly wind blowing today & very overcast. Quite the contrast to yesterday. A walk gave me a great crested grebe family with 4 chicks & then my school project caterpillars had a photo shoot.

They are the caterpillars of the emperor moth & in their 3rd/4th instar. They are munching hawthorn like there's no tomorrow & are also very variable in colouring and patterns. Two different ones in the extras.
