Pentecost

Embroidered detail from the centre of the altar frontal in St Paul’s Cathedral, Dundee this morning depicting the spirit descending as a dove. The embroidered details in church fabrics and vestments together with the buildings stained glass windows always fascinate me, because of the skill and craftsmanship but also because of the symbolism and the stories they tell.
