Man of the Moment

Ronan O’Gara, the man who has brought two European Champions’ titles to La Rochelle. 
The last home game of the regular season was against Stade Français. The table was already decided, so it was a bit of a dead rubber. Nothing to gain if we won, no place to lose if we lost. He played a team made up of the second string, with a majority of players who are leaving the club this summer (retirement, moving on etc.). In the second half, he brought on some of the junior players who are on the cusp of getting into the first team. 
Well, rather unexpectedly, considering we are second in the Top 14, and Stade are 3rd, we won!  With a second string! 14-10 (from 0-7 down at the end of the first half). We must stop giving the opposition a heads start!  It doesn’t do the blood pressure any good at all!
