Willet Tower

At Elworthy Somerset. We went to visit the art exhibition in Stogumber this afternoon where my sister (blipper Arteegeedee) is a member of the art group. Some excellent pieces of work.

Then we took the dogs for a walk at Willet Tower. It was built in 1774 by some of the local gentry with one contributing £80 towards the total cost of £130!

According to an internet calculator £130 in 1774 today would be £25,500.00. I very much doubt this figure is correct….! Any more realistic figures on offer?
