Red campion

We went for a walk around Oakley Wood (https://www.warwickshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/OakleyWood), one of many Warwickshire Wildlife Trust sites around here. Amazingly we had the place practically to ourselves; I'd expected it to be mobbed on a Bank Holiday weekend, but no. Plenty of wildlife around, (though the birds were struggling to be heard over the nearby M40 traffic noise) and there's even the bank and ditch remnants of a scheduled ancient monument (though there is some doubt about just how ancient it is). It's always open, free to visit and to park, and a nice way to spend a sunny afternoon.
