We sprung into action today.  I finished cleaning the kitchen blinds (exhausting, but they look so good now!), and Tim did a sterling job cleaning, clearing and tidying in the spare room.

Decided we'd earned a final takeaway from our local Indian restaurant after that, so had a nice easy - and tasty - evening.
