Memorial Day

Another exquisite day here in Portland, Oregon. Gorgeous clear blue skies and a very comfortable mid-70'sF/23.8C. It's a solemn day, but so often we seem to be celebrating with family and friends...here it's the official beginning of summer. Both my dad and grandfather were involved with wars and I'm so thankful that returned home. So many did not, of course. 

My son and grandkids came over for lunch today and we played and played. I'm about to head over to a friend's house for a cookout. So a quick shot of the planters at the entrance to my condo - cheerful petunias and Calibrachoa (Million Bells).
