Small town America
We went to the Hanover Memorial Day Parade this morning. Members of the Josselyn-Cummings American Legion Post 149 started the procession in a restored 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88. The Post bears the surnames of two Hanover 'boys' who lost their lives fighting for freedom. My great Uncle, Leon Josselyn was one. Leon was killed in action in France at the very end of World War I. His large photo is in the extra along with two brothers. They were also volunteer firefighters before and after the war.
For the Record,
This day came in sunny and cool. I weeded and T planted 21 native perennials in our garden near the patio. We are achingly tired tonight!
All hands happy
