Courance

P had a second day at the airshow whilst I went for a walk to the nearby Chateau and gardens at Courances. It was very hot but this chap seems to have found an ideal shady spot for a rest!  The gardens are very formally laid out mainly with lawns, waterways, statues and the odd fountain. Although its lovely I'd have liked to have seen more  flowers as,  except for  some in the Japanese garden which you can only look at from the edge and the buttercups and daisies in some of the grass there were very few. 
I preferred the gardens at Chenonceau which we visited last year.
