Summer Walk

Another sunny and fairly hot day. After lots of admin work, I went for a walk to the farm shop, between hedges full of wild roses and elderflowers.

On my way back, I encountered another Aesculapian snake basking in the sun. It was smaller than the last one we saw, but still over a metre long. Just after I took its photo, it quickly disappeared into a garden at the side of the road.
