Another garden day
Another day in the garden, planting the food plants we bought at the plant market on Sunday.
Small spindly fennel isn't so very photogenic so I decided a general garden shot would be more fun. Here is one of the wilder flower areas. There are cornflowers, tulips, lovage, forget-me-not, that giant rust coloured leaf, and a lot of other things I cannot name.
Behind that large stand of lovage is the vegetable garden, where most of the work has been going on.
The extra shows some wild pansies, growing in the gangway between the beds. This small wild flower is our county flower and can be seen everywhere. They may be wild, but we do our best to look after them when they appear.
As we ate breakfast sitting outside we both commented on what an idyllic place this is, especially at this time of year.
