I took the day off work to get ready for the arrival of my friend from Medway who I am hosting for the weekend. I've lined us up for a few events, first of which was a walk to Clophill Old Church. Perhaps not an event I shall repeat. The guide didn't know the difference between a buttress and a flying butress and our meeting point was a notorious dogging layby - known for its own particular brand of flying buttress.
