Day 9

This morning we collected our pots from the pottery which we made last week and will decorate them and get them glazed at home. We went to a very large supermarket and bought a few things to take home. As you will have seen we love to sit by a river or lake with a picnic and a flask and we found the perfect spot again today. Birds singing and the tractor bailing hay in the background! Perfect countryside sounds. We go home tomorrow lunchtime after the most wonderful time together in beautiful Brittany! Paul and Thérèse wanted us to join them for a home cooked meal tonight which was so special. They said they have so enjoyed having us stay and wouldn’t take any money for the meal. Thérèse is a cookery teacher at 73 and the food was amazing. The starter included seaweed and garlic with mild red pepper and was delicious as was the salmon wrapped in seaweed with a beautiful lemon rice, followed by a mix of two natural yoghurts and fruit and a lovely glass of wine. It’s been the most amazing place to stay! Feeling so blessed!
