Cawfields

Set out on a little road trip today. We're taking m-i-l away for a few days. Staying in a b&b near to Hadrian's Wall. On the way up we called in at the Joe Cornish gallery in Northallerton. Nice little cafe on site and the photos weren't bad either. After dinner at the Milecastle Inn we went looking for a bit of the wall that would be visible from the car. This old flooded quarry at Cawfields park is next to an exposed part of Whin Sill upon which much of the wall was constructed. Walking required to reach the wall so we left it for another time.
