Beautiful Demoiselle

There were about eight or nine of these flitting around the same spot on the riverbank, then settling on a flower and taking off again. 

It took me ages and so many shots (most were so blurred) to get this half decent pic. Whilst in flight they looked almost black, only when they were still and the sun caught their bodies did the colour show through. 

Fascinating to watch I was enthralled for ages.
