Hanging a Good Wash
I've probably mentioned my fanaticism on the hanging of a wash? For someone who has never found joy in housework, it is a strange fluke which arises from the sharing of a communal concrete back court (which we called , with no hint of irony, "the back green') when I was a child. Hanging a good wash was a competitive sport for women who wanted to be seen as excelling in the only job aa married woman was likely to have.
Don't know if it enhances the view from the side bedroom window, but I like it. If you magnify, you should spot a stag's horn, a rowan for the witches, a giant euphorbia, a palm tree and the live and dead pair of copper beeches as well as the back end of a giant hydrangea and a ball shaped berberis which will attack you at the least opportunity.! Not sure you'll see the rose garden but more anent that later.
