Tverskaya Zastava Ploschad*

This is the view as you come out of the metro at Belorusskaya to go to the Belorusky Train station.

*Ploschad means square and this one is found at the top of Tverskaya - one of the main roads in Moscow - leading north up from Red Square, which turns into Leningradsky Prospekt and leads to Shermetyevo airport and, if you keep going long enough, to St Petersburg.

This picture sums up a lot of Moscow - lots and lots of cars, hugely wide roads (just look at the blue signs with arrows on them to get a feel for how many lanes of traffic there are), big modern office blocks cheek by jowl with gorgeous old churches and hundreds of wires running everywhere.

To get a real feel look large.
