Heartbreaking

A bit of rain last night.  The ground can do with more.   Still chilly, and June is tomorrow!

After market shopping headed to Byard Art to see the work of Hannah Lipsey.  I saw her work posted on the Facebook page Coloured Pencil Addicts.  Her use of coloured pencils was impressive, achieving a very smooth finish and inspiring reproductions of metallic reflections. I always learn something from seeing other's techniques.

As I was crossing Jesus Green bridge on my homeward journey I spotted the swans and cygnets.  Heartbreaking to see human detritus  around them not to mention what is invisible in the water thanks to the water companies.  It is truly appalling.

Someone stopped and commented how beautiful the swans were but tragic against the trash.
