Last day of May.

Cool and wet first thing.
Continued cool in a very chilly blustery wind.
Stephen was umpiring a cricket match today, so went wearing his thermal vest, a t-shirt, a sweater, and his umpires’ jacket, plus his wide-brimmed ECB umpires hat!
The match was 25 overs a side, between Warwickshire and Middlesex Girls Under 11’s, at the Bluecoats School.
The Middlesex team travelled up early in the morning. A two hour journey.
I had my Pilates class this afternoon and the usual coffee and chat afterwards with some of the ladies. Always a wide ranging interesting conversation.
My sister messaged me to say she was home this afternoon,
All of which was good news.
She has several appointments now at the hospital, but it is only a relatively short drive from their house,
Her son James, will arrive a little later this evening with his two children. They are 11 and 8 years old.
She will be pleased to see them.
I took the photo in the garden when I got home.
At least the olive tree in a large pot has survived the heat of last summer and the snow and extremely freezing temperatures of the winter, which was followed by a very wet March and a very dry April!
People who have flown off to Europe recently are having very unseasonal wet weather in many places.
Here’s the hedgehog last night if you are interested.
