‘Racing Chipmunk’

Making our way slowly back, rather reluctantly, I must admit, to catch our evening flight home this morning, we dropped by the unashamedly touristy resort of Caleta de Fuste, which is just shy of the airport, for lunch. 

Walking along the prom, we were surprised to find Chipmunks - (actually Barbary squirrels) masses of them!

There's an interesting story about them; they were only introduced to the island in the 1960s - more in the link!
