A Lucky Escape

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Briarsaurous was my headline news from yesterday. But also, I met Karu.

Karu is a solution architect who is leaving Kāinga Ora this week so basically I got to meet him and say goodbye on the same day. He was a good guy and we got along well and I went to his leaving drinks. 

And they WOULDN'T STOP BUYING DRINKS. 

I mean. Honestly, I was going to leave at half six. But another beer arrived and another and another. Eventually I realised I was pissed and had to make my excuses and leave with a beer half drunk.

I mean. Seriously. Rookie mistake or what? Curse you, Symon!

This morning when I woke up I felt surprisingly OK. I'm not sure why. I was sure a spew was imminent. 

Let's chalk this one up as a lucky escape and move swiftly on.

All the same, I kept very quiet and didn't move about much. Fortunately it was a work from home day. 

So not a lot really got done. But Crashy and DG got to hang out.
