Strawberries, one of Ölands largest summer crop. Some farmers have already started selling, I saw my first ones a week ago but most farmers will have a good crop going after the sixth of June, the Swedish national day, when we're invaded by the first tourists. On midsummer, around 21 of June, strawberries is a must. The season goes on till mid July, give or take a couple of weeks. 
I've tried to Google the amount of strawberries produces on Öland but couldn't find any numbers. My neighbours fields are looking promising though, because of several weeks of sun and mild weather, the season is a bit early.
