Visit to Gladesville hospital
Wednesday 31st May outing is to Gladesville Hospital, formerly known as the Tarban Creek Lunatic Asylum which opened in 1838. Its 25 hectares of land contain a treasure trove of historic buildings and monuments in both restored and decaying condition, the asylum cemetery, and a boathouse on Bedlam Bay.
