Ovipositing Anax

A visit this morning to Barkbooth nature reserve where there were lots of dragonflies and damselflies very active in the warm sunshine.  Big numbers of 4-spotted chasers and the emperors were flitting around far too quickly for a photo.  However this ovipositing female was an easy target.
