Old Faithful

Got up at 5.15 to head out early for sunrise photos at Oxbow bend. Unfortunately, the cloud had come in and the mist was still over the Teton as we got into the park so we couldn’t get the sunrise photo we were hoping for. Had a nice drive around looking for bears but didn’t see any but we did manage to see another large male elk in a clearing. Got back to the hotel for around 8am for breakfast and to pack ready for heading to Yellowstone this afternoon. Travelled up north OK and didn’t get too held up in the roadworks. Got to Old Faithfull hotel and checked in. Our room was ready but J&A wasn’t for a while. We had been given a disabled room for some reason on the booking. Room was OK but not great with a view out of the window of some rough ground. Went for a walk around to see some of the geysers and managed to see Old Faithful twice. Just as we were leaving Old Faithful for the second time a small herd of bison walked into the area so as stopped to take some photos, as a result we only just managed to get some food from the take away place. Went out to see Old Faithful again in the evening before getting to bed later than planned.
