Peony

It has been another busy day. Again it was cool and cloudy, by lunchtime it was still 15C then suddenly the sun comes out at about 3pm and it warms up. Horrible weather really and if this is summer, being 1 June today, the memo was not sent to the weather gods.

I walked Xena, then had a quick coffee at home before heading off to play 9 holes of golf with my ladies-clinic ladies! Today only three of us played, and I say 9 holes but it is actually only 6 holes as they sold off the very valuable land some time ago and in addition to the fine practice range facilities they also offer '6 in 60' for those too busy to play a full round of golf. It is a very popular concept. Of course it took us longer that 60 minutes to play. 

Back home I had lunch then walked Xena again. I now have to get ready as I am going up to London to a function, its drinks and canapes in the Chelsea Physic Garden. I have always wanted to go there, so I am pleased it is booked out tonight for our function where we can wander around exploring the garden with a glass of champagne in hand!

I bought myself some peonies the other day, and like everything else they has increased significantly in price. I bought a bunch half the size I usually buy every summer, for the same price. I thought the full size bunch was just way too expensive. They have now opened and look so blousy and beautiful.
