NRM York

As the sun was shining-ish we decided to take the children on an adventure. We drove to the Designer Centre then caught a bus to the Railway Station. We watched trains for a bit then went to the Railway Museum.

It's a long time since Mum and I have been and they have really geared it towards little children this half term. In the station yard you could take a ride in a truck pulled by the Rocket, meet a working horse, pet a selection of farm animals, play in the playground or ride on the miniature steam train. Inside they had colouring in and creepy crawlie handling!

After a very reasonable lunch we headed to the turntable to watch it turn. Lily was very excited to see "City of Truro" in pride of place on the turntable! Back through the station (and a bit more train spotting) before catching a BENDY BUS back to the Designer Centre where I *may* have had a little teeny tiny shop. Finally to MrC's for a fish and chip supper to round off the day!
