Cornflower

My wild flower book notes that the cornflower is virtually extinct in the wild in Britain. This clump was found on on the heath on what could be classified as waste ground, its natural environment. However, it was also next to a wall surrounding a house in a virtual island within the heath, so perhaps it's a garden escapee. Whatever, it was a nice find on my short walk around Brentmoor Heath nature reserve.
