Whipple Dam: Blue Skies and Sunny Beaches!

The local state parks opened their beach areas for swimming on Memorial Day weekend. We'd swum at Bald Eagle over the holiday weekend, and it was time to check out Whipple Dam.

We found the skies blue, the beaches sunny, and the vibes pretty darn summery. There were kids playing in the water, families having picnics, and pretty girls preening in their bikinis, just waiting to be discovered.

The water was a bit low, and sort of muddy, but not overly dirty. It was cooler than Bald Eagle and cleaner, and we had a fine and refreshing swim. It's warm in the sun but plenty cool and comfortable in the shade, of which there is LOTS around the lake!
