Pretty Pest?
Today's blip is a rhododendron flower bud, possibly the common Rhododendron ponticum. Apparently this invasive plant is quite toxic, such that even eating honey that bees have made from it's nectar isn't good for you!
There aren't many of these round where I live, as north Hampshire is mostly chalk and flint which isn't the best thing to grow a rhododendron or azalea on. Someone evidently was lucky in their garden or dug in a lot of acidic material before planting this bush as it looks quite large and healthy.
