Barnard Castle

Headed back to our temporary base in Yorkshire. On the way we stopped in Barnard Castle for a wander and a bite to eat. Extremely busy anyway but on trying to leave the town centre the traffic was at a standstill. Apparently a lorry carrying chickens overturned on the A66 causing massive queues. Luckily we were going east so managed to find a detour. So here's a bit of the castle ruin with some wildflowers hanging on. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting.
